This is an Amazing place. It is worth it to go 1k off the trail. We were warmly greeted at the front door that looks like a castle, the host was so accommodating warm and friendly. Have all the facilities you need laundry , food, drinks , a pool . Just the best place ever

We stopped in town to get takeout barbecue from DGrill. As we trudged, tired and footsore, off the Camino we were wondering if we should have stayed in town.

It worked out. Lucia gave us wine as we arrived and later made a salad to go with our barbecue. The room was great, the grounds were great, the pool was great, Lucia was great, the dinner was very good.

Highly recommend.

So good! €60 double for 1, €80 double for 2, €90 three person room for 3 as at April 2023 - €7 extra for breakfast and an honesty bar - got a bottle of red wine for €12, free coffee and free port, pear juice and cake on arrival

This place is unbelievable! We couldn't quite work out what we had walked into. There only seem to be four double rooms, but a garden, river, pool, jacuzzi, games room, cinema (literally) and amazing en suite rooms. It feel surreal that all of this is you just a few guests. The hosts are wonderfully accommodating - free drinks on arrival and a light dinner offered as it is a bit far from shops etc. Well worth going a little off the camino for the inredible night!

Wonderful place!! Breathtakingly beautiful, pool and hot tub, expansive grounds. It was only 40euro which includes breakfast AND they do your laundry. In heaven.

This is a very luxurious place to stay. A slice of life in a palace. Including Swans, nesting near our door. Acres of manicured gardens, a river runs through it. Excellent service from arrival onwards. They even did our stinky pilgrim laundry for FREE.

We had a wonderful rest here and Filipa made us very welcome. The price through bookings.com is double so better to email or phone to book.

Without a doubt this place took my breathe away. A resort with a country vineyard feel. Definitely check it out. It gets packed quick so book ahead.

Still an amazing place to visit. Exactly as described above - laundry is no longer free (€5). There is no restaurant at Casas do Rio - the host will make you a dinner booking at nearby restaurant and book taxi for you). Breakfast comes in a box - it is a lot of food and nicely prepared. Definitely will come by here again!
