It was a rainy, blustery and cold day from Astorga. A bed race was on so I panicked and took the first thing open that I could find after 3 others were full. What a gem! Nice, helpful hospitalarios settled us in. Two spartan shower/bath combos. 18 beds but only 7 claimed so could spread out stuff on the top bunk. Outdoor laundry basin with lots of line and pegs and wind and sunshine to dry laundry. Then, as the temperature dropped, a fire burning furnace was switched on that made the room glow and be cozy. Plenty of blankets.

Telephoned 2 days before but told no need to book as plenty of beds. Arrived today 25th November. Note on door to say choose a bed and they will be along later. I chose a bed, after an hour I was so cold, I had to leave and walk on another 3.5miles. It was warmer outside than inside.

Very friendly staff, comfortable facilities, they had space when I came in after walking 40 kilometers and made me feel immediately at home. Recommend. Good facilities in a great place.

Camino de Sant…

The staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are bunks— standard up and down with blankets supplied. The dorm room is large, with the beds not crammed together tightly. One convenient bath and shower for this room with others upstairs. Clean enough and a very reasonable place to stay.
