Stayed here for the first time with my brother, daughter and son in law. . Excellent service by the owner Pepe (Jose Mari) , Mauricio and its helpers. Everything clean. Pepe is the one making the dinner and is also a Pilgrim. They have bunks and private rooms. They also offer dinner and breakfast. All vegan food.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The hosts are so nice and attentive, the place is very clean and comfortable. Nice outside area and close to a grocery store. The dinner, a four course meal, was delicious!
I can only recommend this wonderful place!

I only stopped here as it was the first one as you enter town & it’s wonderful. There were only 5 pilgrims in the whole place & I had a private room which was great with plenty of space. Dinner was an incredible 4 courses & all vegetarian. Breakfast was at 7am & it was freshly made Churros, toast, juice & coffee. I highly recommend staying here.

The 4 women volunteering for 7 a month period, did an amazing job meeting our needs and the delicious 4 course meal was cooked with love. The rooms were basic, yet very comfortable and clean. I highly recommend🙏

This alburge has some of the kindest hosts and most wonderful food on the Camino. My wife and I loved our stay here. We were in a private room with a shared bathroom but we noticed that the dorm area was very spacious. The beds were wonderful and the alburge was very clean. The owner and his staff were incredibly kind and they made a wonderful 4 course vegetarian dinner that included a delicious paella! There were only 10 pilgrims that stayed here the night we stayed. We were so amazed that there were so many empty beds in the dorm area. The jardin is a wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine as other pilgrims pass by on their way further along the way. The owner shared an amazing story of his Camino experience and how it led him to own this alburge. He's a sweet gentleman. We highly recommend staying here for those that want a special experience!

A charming albergue with kind, friendly staff. A large well-ventilated dorm room on the entry level and clean, simple private rooms (with and without bathroom) on the lower floor. Pleasant front garden and verandah for relaxing after a day’s walking. Excellent communal dinner with four courses including a vegetarian paella on the night we stayed. Great breakfast too, with delicious churros. Highly recommended.

Stay here!!! Much nicer than Tio Pepe where we stayed last time. Clean, friendly, good vegetarian paella for dinner. Private room sans bath for 30€.

Dorm was one big room but it wasn’t crowded (and a bit cheaper than usual)

Food was fantastic. The only four course menu I have had ;) salad, soup, vegetarian paella, crepes d for desserts. Delicious and a bargain for €12. People were taking away leftovers for tomorrow.

Hospitlero very friendly and helpful: fixed someone’s bike, arranged a taxi for someone who didn’t speak Spanish

I stayed here last night (as the only pilgrim) after walking from Mansilla de las Mulas. I’d planned to stay in León but the weather was so good I walked on and arrived after dark.
Anna, the Hospitalera, was so welcoming and cooked me a delicious dinner while I showered and then served it in the cozy dining room with log burner lit. Even though I was the only person staying Anna chatted away to keep me company and then gave me a big hug before I went to bed.
One tip, there was no breakfast offered and none of the bars had opened by 8am, so it was a 15km walk to Hospital de Orbigo before I found a cafe open (maybe pack a banana or some biscuits to keep you going ‘til then…if you’re walking out of season).
