But the remainder of the towns people seemed very unwelcoming. Stay elsewhere. Also municipal Albergue sewage issue.

Carmen was wonderfully pleasant dealing with all pilgrims as she opened to a large crowd. Yes it’s a little overcrowded and a little short on toilets/showers but the living room and gardens are lovely.

€15 for bed and €1.5 for sheets. €5 if you prefer machine does the laundry job for you. A tad pricey compared to other albergues but not complaining.

Nice terrace with plenty of clothesline. Kitchen equipped with only microwave. Spacious dining area. Carmen was friendly.

Carmen was efficient and wonderful at check in. Beds comfortable! We brought our own sleeping bag liner and pillow covers so didn’t need to buy hers. Showers hot and clean. Doors slam but only because fresh cool breeze coming in the windows. Simply close door entirely or prop open with a shoe and we didn’t have a problem. Great area to do laundry by hand and dried quickly in afternoon sun. Loved the garden sitting area! Peaceful nights sleep. Would stay again. Here with my husband and adult daughter.

I approached this place with trepidation due to the reviews. Can I say when Carmen unlocked the front gate I was overjoyed with the large courtyard full of colour with flowers, lots of seats, sun lounges and clothes lines. The outdoor kitchen was a bonus for the municipal with microwave plates, cutlery, sink and water. Inside was more tables chairs and books.The showers were hot the beds comfortable and the view outside my dorm was lovely. Honestly if you are kind and polite Carmen is lovely. The only criticism is charging 1.50 euros for paper sheet and pillow case. I declined and used my sleeping bag liner. It is a municipal albergue so perhaps some could be more accepting of how things are financially.

albergue very crowded with minimal facilities.. barely enough toilet paper.

First, it cost €15 not €12 as on WhatsApp.
Door to gents toilet sticks allowing women to see the gents urinals.
Constant sound of banging doors caused by draughts from open windows.
The lights iin the gents bathroom don't work.
I wish that I had gone to one of the towns private albergues.

There are only two women’s toilets for two floors. Currently (9 June) there are over 30 women staying. Also overpriced at €14 for a municipal.
