A lovely peaceful place with amazing gardens. Made to feel very welcome. Great accommodation

I loved my stay at this gorgeous place! Everyone was welcoming. The rooms were simple and clean. The showers were warm. And the breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend it and wish all my albergue experiences were similar to this one.

A very special place to stay on the Camino! The albergue is set in a former monastery, which gives it a unique and peaceful atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming — truly some of the most hospitable people we've met on the Camino.

There is a kitchen where you can prepare your own dinner, and they offer food on a donation basis, which is very thoughtful.

We had a private room on the top floor — it was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view.

We can only recommend this place for your stop along the Camino!

A must-stay. Comfortable bed, restrooms and good kitchen to cook. A mini market close by has the essentials you can buy to cook. The building (super preserved) from 1000 years ago, plus all the nice vibes from the hospitaleiros are a great relief after a long walk from Porto. Please try the escalda pés and the meditation room, from where you can see a beautiful sunset . I recommend 100%.

The staff was super gracious as I think they’re volunteers at the monastery. Fruit, cereal and coffee for breakfast. Nice kitchen/dining area was great too.

(In February) a good first stop from Porto. 10€ +5€ for sheets + 5€ for breakfast. Very cute place but rooms are cold. Breakfast is bare bones but tasty and was upgraded to a two person room as it was quite. Showers take a while to run hot but are in private cubicles

A gem of a place, worth the detour. Not a donativo anymore. Curiously they ask you to place the accommodation money in a box on the wall and then they put the money for breakfast away separately? Breakfast not worth the money.

Very nice place to sleep for your first night after Porto. plusses consists of: cute kitten, blankets, good pillows and LOTS of space (only 4 people total in the woman room). Restaurant closest by is horrible but the guy owning it was very nice and accommodating.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Von außen ein wunderbarer Ort. Sehr freundliche Menschen. Ein sehr gutes Essen.
Aber: Es ist leider alles sehr heruntergekommen. Ich würde deswegen dort nicht wieder stoppen.

I stayed here December 11th after leaving Porto. I was the only guest. It is a nice old ministry we’re the alberga is on the third floor. €10 for the night + €5 if you want sheets. Good kitchen, and hot showers. The host (Phillipe) was very friendly.
Leaving very early in the morning I thought the outer gate doors were locked, just before I was about to wake the host I discovered that opening the latches on the right door and then pulling them both towards you did the trick 😅
