Itero del Castillo is 1.5km from the actual camino, to your right hand side after crossing over the Mostelares and before the Ermita at San Nicolás. Reported to be in a poor state of affairs. Retrieve the keys from the Bar El Castillo.

First note that Itero del Castillo is before you get into and is not the same as Itero de la Vega This albergue was a bit challenging to find as the albergue is not at the plaza but is part of another building. I pinned coordinates as (42.2893231, -4.2439758). The bar (El Castillo (42.2901584, -4.2433061) where you register is at the bottom of the hill and can be busy. After you register you are free to go the albergue to choose your bunk. We waited around for the hostess/bartender/cook to either provide a key or take us to our lodging but she never did. You have to ask her to show and she will gladly do that. The albergue is in great condition and clean

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

I went there because all the rest was booked but really liked it. The hosts are a nice family, very hospitable. For just 18 euro you can get breakfast+bed+dinner or lunch which is a great offer. The place is in a good condition (there is another albergue in the village in bad condition as I herd)Hot shower, white sheets and comfy blankets. I'd recommend it.

Camino de Sant…

Perfectly satisfactory 12 bed albergue. Very basic cena on offer at bar so probably best to eat before or bring food. No use of kitchen though.10euros for bed and cena.Quiet. beds are clean and each has a duvet which makes sleeping with sleeping bag very cosy in cold weather.
