Every other albergue pales in comparison to Borda—it is an exceptionally comfortable, welcoming, well-appointed respite with charm and solitude. Lorenzo is the quintessential host; his culinary expertise is exceptional. His “rules” may seem a bit over the top, but they make sense for improving the pilgrim experience.

We originally booked here because it would give us two days in the Pyrenees plus it included dinner and then breakfast.

Wow! That was a lucky decision. Imagine a place where a dozen people came together at the beginning of a great journey. The albergue was spotless and organized. I’m not sure what I was expecting from the guide books, but this was wonderful.

Unless you really want to get through the Pyrenees, book a spot here and take the extra day.

The host is wondeful, the location beautiful and the food is amazing. The views are fantastic. The whole place was spotless clean and the beds are comfortable and have a curtain. Book early if you plan to stay.

I had heard great things about this place. So, I tried to book it. However, it was full. Completely full. Yet, the host was willing to offered me a sofa bed, but I was too late to say “yes”. Later on I ask him for a recommendation for food potions. He was very sweet and gave me suggestions. I would definitely book tho law in advance next time.m, so I could personally experience all the great things I heard :)

The conversion of a farm barn into an albergué has been done so well. Laurent was a wonderful host and a great cook. Everything was clean and new, the facilities were good and each cubicle has been fitted with a comfortable bed, basket, hooks, power point and curtain for privacy. I would definitely recommend this as a first stop on the Camino Frances.

We spent our first night on the Camino at Laurent’s lovely and well thought out home! The shower was hot, the bed comfortable and we appreciated the curtains at each bed that provided a bit of privacy. The accommodations were sparkling clean, Laurent did our laundry for a small fee and offers a lunch to take away the next morning. Dinner was delicious and he made a special vegetarian option for me, he also helped my friend book a taxi. We highly recommend!!
