Helena opens her home to pilgrims and makes us feel welcome. Facilities are clean and beds are set up with plenty of space to spread out. No bunk beds! Dinner was plentiful and Helena rings you off with a little tinkle bell as you set off the next morning. This place was delightful!

Lovely, small albergue off stage. There’s an albergue cat named Gordito. Helena is a fantastic, caring host. The vegetarian pilgrims meal was superb! Lovely to sit down with pilgrims from all over the world in this intimate setting. Thank you Denise from Texas USA

Eleanor and David were kind hosts, but it was freezing until the heating got going sat and had dinner in our coats.

Salad and Ratatouille very nice.

I loved staying at La Paerla Negra. Elena was warm and welcoming. The sleeping area was comfortable and charming. The vegetarian food was delicious. Also enjoyed visiting with her volunteer, David.

This place is a real gem (no pun intended). Full of genuine warm hospitality & a wonderful caring owner. But best of all was the communal meal - vegetarian, mostly organic & enjoyed in friendly company. Highly recommend staying here.

One of my favorite Albergue’s to stay at! The vegetarian meal was superb! The place has such a positive vibe. Please stay here. You will be glad you did. All the beds as singles.

Loved this little place. Elena and Peter will make you feel like family. Beds, not bunks. Go for the Pilgrim’s meal. Elena is a great cook. And the albergue is vegetarian friendly.
