We stayed here and there was one bunk bed and three single beds in the room we were allocated . No wifi for those that may need it , but I heard you can pick up the town free wifi outside. The showers are mixed and only a shower curtain, which is ok but no where to hang clothes once removed , except on hooks on the wall outside the shower cubicle. Not so easy in mixed spaces . Out of four womens toilets, three had no locks functioning, which is a minor thing , but shouldn’t be . No lounge area to sit , just a small kitchen dining space for about 12 Pilgrims and it accommodates a lot more . If it wasn’t raining , the outdoor garden would have been nice . But the only place to relax was on your bed .

Lovely owner very welcoming, Stayed in a lovely private room with bathroom, beds very comfortable, lots hot water, there is a great kitchen if you want to cook and it also had a kettle!
Had washing machine and lots of outdoor space and airers to dry washing.
Would definitely recommend.

Very slow check in but was also very full and busy when I was there in July. Some single beds which is nice! Lovely garden. Small kitchen.

I stayed 26th April 2023,in the private area.
There is a nice kitchen, dining table and lovely sitting corner.
The room was comfortable with private toilet and shower.

One thing I would like to mention is Rocio is super kind person. She takes care of Guests very much.
When I had my backpack mis delivered to the other albergue two villages away. She phoned to every albergue until she found it! Just amazing. Great She drove her car to collect it to San Juan de Ortega! Her dedication to her guest pilgrims is awesome.
I should call her as my Camino angel.

We stayed at a private room for two with private bathroom. It was certainly one of the best private rooms on the Camino so far! Very clean and comfortable. The hostess is very nice and helpful. She accepted our reservation via WhatsApp a day before. (Have in mind that they do not accept reservations for bunk beds though!)
The albergue has a big and lovely area outside where you can relax.
The only downside was that they do not offer food and the town itself does not have many places to eat. We came in the afternoon on Monday and the two restaurants do not work on Mondays.
We found a nice food in a bar nearby (Cantina de Atapuerca), but it was almost over, so make sure to arrive early if you are here on Monday.
There is a convenient kitchen in the albergue though, so you can buy your own food from a small supermarket nearby. The supermarket does not offer many things, but is surely a good option.
Overall I highly recommend albergue “El Peregrino” Atapuerca!

Rocio was very helpful to get me In quick. Fast Check in.
Laundry facility though washing machine has sign it doesn’t work.
Restaurants and small grocery in town. Beautiful town.

Close to all things needed.

No WiFi. Sign says talk, get to know one another.

Camino de Sant…

We stayed in the private room w a bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Building has a great kitchen and dining room - would have been perfect to cook and hang out with Camino friends. Great value for 30 euros especially.

Camino de Sant…

Had a double room here and it was clean and comfortable with a small ensuite bathroom. Nice courtyard to sit in and plenty of drying lines.

Camino de Sant…

The town has free WiFi so even tho the Albergue doesn’t if you go out on the lawn you will have access. Walls are thin so you hear everyone walking to pee in the night. Had a line for the shower.

Camino de Sant…

The owner is very kind and welcoming. Beautiful and clean place. Great showers and small rooms.
