We stayed here after a long and beautiful day in the mountains - the descent from Pajares to San Miguel was steep - there is an alternative route which take you to the left shortly after you cross the road after the top. This will shorten the walk with 2 km.
Either way, the friendly host, the great albergue and delicious food is worth the walk - and you get a great start for the next day - we toke the new mountain track - so we got extra beautiful nature before we meet civilisations again

The best albergue on the Salvador! Modern, clean, thoughtfully laid out and delicious food! This is worth the extra kilometres from Pajares.

Lovely couple and genuinely feel sorry that footfall is so low. Great meal and bar. Albergue is spotless but no ability to Dona pack lunch ???. Pablo recommended the Altra track which was amazing rather than the road but it’s tough.

Great host (speaks good English) and food was just what you need for the next stage of the San Salvador. Immaculately clean and good hot showers. Great value.

Wonderful landscape, quiet zone and great hospitality. Good food with vegetables out of the own garden. Very very nice people. Breakfast at 8 (“…not before”). A real camino place as it should be. *****

Stayed here on 01/05/22 after walking from Pildura. Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful care even post COVID. Albergue was spotless. Hosts provided a wonderful dinner and breakfast.
