There were several misunderstandings ( due to our lack of French and the owners lack of English?)
The bill was tallied after dinner,in front of a crowd of pilgrims. When breakfast came up we stated we were not interested. The owner became very upset. We had a couple issues with the bill. It was an embarrassing and stressful situation. Should have been dealt with in private. If the rules are one must buy both meals it would be good to know ahead.

Great gîte. I had a room with 2 beds only, very clean, spacious shower in room, shared toilet in corridor. Breakfast and lunch taken in old cellar room downstairs. Sells cold drinks, some food and there is a cafe almost opposite gîte. Cécile is a very warm, welcoming host.
