Reservation confirmed for two day prior via WhatsApp - reservation refused and told that the number messaged (via this app) was for a previous owner (who confirmed the reservation including including arrival time and names of both of us…go figure) ended up sharing a mattress with a random pilgrim in a hallway as whole town booked out. Owners were incredibly dismissive as if this was our fault? Something doesn’t make sense.

Otherwise great views from balcony of property!

The auberge is very quiet and very clean and the beds have proper sheets on them. The owner is a quiet man whom I found to be kind and helpful and contrary to previous comments I experienced zero rudeness. He made a lovely meal and even lit a fire in the wood burning stove which also heated the radiators in the room. I slept like a log! I recommend staying here.( unless you want to stay up late. This auberge closes the doors early - 9.30pm I believe).

I did not have the negative experience that is see posted.
Staff is friendly hard working. Bathroom facilities clean. The beds are adequate.
Dinner portions were large, home meal tasty. Desayuno buen también.
Good deal for 30€

Not friendly. The only albergue where they want to charge you for a blanket on a cold night. There must be other places better than this. No camino spirit. Spend your Euros somewhere else

We did not meet so much unfriendlyness on the camino 🥴
The people who run this place want to sell their albergue, because they want retire. They are not friendly anymore, there is not a welcome, they have stupid rules and they are not helpfull.
It was raining all day and cold, but the radiators were just 30 minutes on. You must leave your shoes outside, but that will not dry them. And you are not allowed to eat anything inside. They were rude and yelled at people who took a slice of pizza inside, etc. We were send to the corridor to take our lunch, but I said "no, it's cold there". So we were allowed to eat our bread in the room.
So, don't stay here.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Something I didn't realise when I gave feedback last night is that this mornings breakfast is included in the 15 euro nightly rate.

Winter Camino, stopped last village Rabanal at the Municipal which was freezing....so left and walked further 3 miles uphill to this alberge after first ringing them. Man on the phone didn't understand my English but an English pilgrim who was checking in at that moment explained and the man in reception saved me a bunk 👍
Friendly when I arrived. Nice clean building lovely hot hot showers.
Nice views lovely sunset.
They have a log burner type fire in the dinning room which was fabulous, so much heat being given off it.
You are not permitted to eat your own food on their premises.
They did however produce a lovely 2 course meal with wine @ 10euros served at 7pm.
The fee currently for the bunk for the night is 15euros.
So glad I pushed on the extra 3.5 miles.
