This albergue is basic and all a pilgrim needs for a good night’s sleep. Very welcoming. Lovely hot water showers. It has a friendly staff and the bar has good food. One room is filled with beds not bunked, what a treat.

I just stayed here on Monday night. Yes, it’s old but just like a country farmhouse stay. I stayed in a twin room, alone for €30 and it was very comfortable and rustic. The grounds and pool are unkept but after walking all day any comfortable bed and clean room is a luxury. This is a good private room option.

I did eat at La Morena as the vibe was nice there. While La Morena does have new bunks, they are only accessible from the foot of the bed. It would be like crawling into a shoe box. Imagine on a hot sticky night how unpleasant that would be. No air flow!

Very comfortable night at Palomar. Don’t let initial reactions deter you. I’d take the private room, over the dorm/bunks.

The pool really should have been cleaned. Especially with the current heatwave though. That did seem a bit lazy on hosts behalf.

For me and the others who were with me, this was by far the worst albergue we’ve stayed at so far on the Camino. The pool was filthy, and the owner was well aware of it. The rooms were swarming with flies, making it impossible to rest. They charge money for a paper sheet, which is shameful. And worst of all – I got food poisoning from their dinner. Everything was dry, tasteless, and dangerous. In my opinion, the health authorities should inspect this place. The only positive thing I can say is about the friendly bartender – she was warm and welcoming. Everything else was terrible.

Price is 12€, not 8€. Small room is packed with bunkbeds for 18 people! No room to move around. Beds too close together. One power outlet for 4 beds. Piol is empty. Sheets not included.

Update to listing: there is not kitchen available here. Pool and back yard was nice. Facilities were ok. La Morena down the road looked a lot nicer and had great food.

The most unfriendly albergue!! The owner is quite rude.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Spacious garden out back and plenty of common areas indoors and outdoors in the albergue section to read a book or talk. You’ll meet locals throughout the day at the bar. I’d definitely recommend this place.

We were asked if we wanted an upgrade to a private room for only 2.50 extra - fantastic, with clean sheets! Pool is open and clean. Bathroom basic, but hot water and enough space to move. Definitely much better than many other places we've been on the route. Very good value for money.
