I tried reserving a bed by calling, no answer. Then I tried writing a message through WhatsApp, no answer. Then I tried the form on their webpage, no answer.
Finally I went through booking.com, and did manage to reserve a bed. Going through booking.com makes the bed €1 more expensive, so I paid €16.

The place was okay, and the hostess seemed very hardworking, I just got a slightly weird feeling, staying there.

The hostess made a somewhat big deal out of reminding us that it was her house, and that we were guests in her house.
The door to the bedroom had a note on it telling us that since we’re pilgrims, and not tourists, we ought to be grateful for everything we get (for a price, though there was no mention of this part), we ought not complain and shouldn’t make any demands.

I’ll try not to criticise, and instead just share a few observations I made: the room I was assigned smelled damp and musty, like an old basement. Opening the windows helped a bit.
The shower stall was quite grimy and had a lot of mold growing along the edges.
The sheets on my bed had several holes in them.

The other pilgrims were all very nice, though! But I was happy to leave this place and move along to somewhere, hopefully, more comfortable.

I and several other pilgrims tried to contact this albergue for accommodation. After several hours none of us received any reply to our messages. If they are full, just say so.

Hot shower, and the food they offer was surprisingly good. I wasn’t sure because I read a negative review on Google that it was a premade paella, but that didn’t matter. I got the seafood paella, the paella mixta and it was so good. Perfect amount of meat to rice, perfect amount of seasoning, and great portion, although all you get is a paella, but it was enough for me. I wish I could eat more but I’m very full!

Great place to stay. Patrick is a wonderful and welcoming host. I had booked for a few nights earlier and got sick. They moved my paid booking to a different night. Beautiful gardens. Washer and dryer for a fee. I also had the seafood paella. It was great. Well worth the stop

This is a wonderful hostel. Hostess is so friendly and welcoming. Room was large with only 4 sets if bunk beds. Bathroom was very adequate. Well worth the short walk "off " the shorter camino route to Najera.
Highly reccomend spemding the night here.

Stopped at this lovely albergue, the hosts were very friendly and the place was one of the best I’ve stayed in so far. Great kitchen to prepare food and bathrooms were generous in size and amenities. So glad I stayed here.

This is a very nice place to stay after a long Camino walk. It was clean and comfortable, with a lovely outdoor space to relax in. The host was friendly and helpful.

This albergue was one of the cleanest and well run I’ve come across. It has a beautiful spacious sitting area in the back, laundry facilities, and even a small shop onsite (no groceries nearby) with fresh fruit and veg, pasta, eggs, etc. And Ventosa is a sweet town. Great place to stop if Najera seems just too far!

Stayed here May 2023. Would stay here again because we enjoyed the outside space. The slapping solar consist of four bunk beds per room. Showers were nice with several stalls and separate men and women’s. The wash room is in a separate building being the seating area providing room for hand washing or washer and dryer use. The kitchen is small but has conveniences including a coffee machine with free coffee.

Loved this albergue. Good set up for bunk rooms, very nice hosts, good restaurant at trail. Loved the garden set up in back.
