We had a reservation at the only other Alburgue in town but cancelled last minute due to illness. We called Mercedes and she made a space for us. A warm and inviting place. Offered us food and water when we arrived. Our pack was sent to the other Alburgue and she drove us there to pick it up. Dinner was the best we’ve had. Her hospitality is what makes the Camino special.

This is one of the best places I’ve stayed on the Camino Francés. It’s a gorgeously restored and renovated water mill. Mercedes is a fabulous hostess who took care of me from the moment I arrived. She’s also a wonderful cook and served a great dinner which everyone one enjoyed. I highly recommend staying here.

This is a great little hotel to stay in. Gorgeous rooms! Some rooms even have a bathtub. Mercedes, the host, was very kind, but she may sell before next season, so keep that in mind. Also, be aware, the rate I paid as a single person, was different from the website . I think it is because I got placed in a double room.

I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this hidden gem, during my journey. It's hard to believe that I almost missed out on such a tranquil haven. The House, an old mill, exudes a charming ambiance with its real fireplace and the soothing sound of water flowing nearby, creating a delightful atmosphere, especially at night. In hindsight, I regret not choosing to stay here instead of opting for a second rest night in Leon.

The owners of the House, along with their daughter Kristina, truly embody the essence of exceptional hospitality. Their warm and attentive nature made my stay all the more memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, making me feel welcomed and cared for throughout my time there.

Don’t hesitate to book.

This charming Casa Rural is just delightful! The owners spent many years renovating it with love, and it shows. So many special little touches here and there. It is clean and comfortable, quaint and cozy. But it was the hostess, Mercedes, who really made this a wonderful experience for us. The moment we arrived she showered us with love and sweet kindness. She was simply bubbling with joy! The communal dinner was very special, with a delicious homemade meal, served by Mercedes, her husband, and their daughter. We actually altered our original plans in order to be able to stay here, after reading all the glowing reviews. And we recommend you do the same. This is truly a hidden gem. Absolutely the best place I have stayed in since SJPdP.
The hostess (Mercedes) is so sweet. Dinner and breakfast were included so do not worry about it being so far from restaurants.
I slept so well that I did not want to leave!!

What a lovely place. What lovely people. I felt like a long lost relative come home with how welcomed I was the minute I walked in the door. If you have the chance, stay here. Peaceful, unique and comfortable.
