Check in was fast with the pilgrim pass. Clean. Good kitchen. Great location. Comfy beds with enough head room to sit up. What more could you want for 7euro?

How hard is it to put hooks in a shower cubicle?

One of the volunteers actually woke me from sleep in the afternoon to ask me to out the sheet on the bed. I’d misplaced it with all my stuff so out MY sheet on. Seriously, she could have waited. Very very annoyed about this

Really nice kitchen, lovely terrace. Good hand washing station and plenty of sun in the afternoon. Beautiful park outside. Good hosts, quick check in. Only $7 Euro. Def recommend.

The volunteers who checked me in were very friendly and good humored. Water was cold when I arrived but hot a few hours later. Laundry was inexpensive (3€ each). I was comfortable in my bed. One of the volunteers was nuts. Really.

Black mould in the corners
22 people in one room (and 4 in another) with 3 toilets and 3 showers for everyone.
Central and cheap and gross.

you can’t beat 7€ for a nice bed and kitchen. The lady was very understanding that I needed a rest and low bed. She put me a semi private room with two bunk beds. The Camino people definitely provides when you need it most!!

We always have reservations about big hostels, but this place was great. We arrived around 3pm and we where number 65 to check in. We ended up on the 3rd floor in a 2 bunk room. Bunks are solid and facilities are great. Toilets and showers on each floor. Recommend!

TBH I had alot of reservations based on previous comments. But after staying there, I was greeted by super friendly host who even gave a detailed guide on things to do in the city. The bathrooms and toilets are super clean and one of the nicest I’ve experience I’m surprised it’s still 7 euros. There’s only 4 people per room. I love it and I’m so happy I stumbled upon this gem in astorga!

Although this is a large Albergue, it is compartmentalized. We ended up with a private room. The Albergue closes at 10pm and do not be late. Every floor gets locked. Would recommend.
