We werden hartelijk bediend. Enige kennis van Spaans is wel wenselijk.

I was a bit hesitant at first because of the mixed reviews, but I ended up having an amazing stay. The two women (an older lady and a middle-aged lady) were incredibly kind and welcoming. They even upgraded my dinner free of charge without me asking.

The whole experience felt like staying at my grandmother’s house: warm, personal, and comforting. Definitely recommend coming here!

Good resting place after a long walk. Al the negative comments don’t make any sense. We booked a private room two days in advance and the room is perfect. It’s a nice accommodation en the host is very friendly. The only downside is that they don’t speak any English good we have google translate.

I am not sure why there are positive comments here about this place. We arrived - having booked the private room - and waited a very long time to check in (though there was no one else there). The owner is incredibly rude. We then asked for lunch and she said she’d make us a sandwich for which we waited over 45 minutes as she served a family and another couple that arrived for lunch the same time we did. And they were served things other than sandwiches. ??? The building is very old and it smells is must and smoke. Outside Tables went uncleared and trash cans unemptied. They also have a significant fly problem. The private room was okay - but the duvets were filthy and we counted seven bugs on one of the beds. That was the last straw. We decided to leave. The woman yelled at us and though we didn’t ask for the money back (a hefty 75 E) she didn’t offer. Our cab driver, without prompting, told us that the “woman is mean.” We’re out 75E and a 20E cab ride to another alburgue - but it’s worth it. One word: gross.

Don’t miss it. The Pilgrims dinner. The hosts. The ambiance. We stayed in the private room and felt like royalty. A nice treat for yourself and an incredibly warm energy and love radiates from this albergue. Bendiciones!!

We had walked a long day from Santiago. We had arranged 2 private rooms with bathrooms. When we arrived we were shown one shared room without a bathroom. The place smells strongly of smoke and the we were not comfortable there so we headed to O Rueiro apartments which is 2 minutes away. This place was a million times better.

El lugar es precioso, la comida riquísima, la atención muy buena, el ambiente maravilloso, tranquilo, se les nota la alegría de ver a los peregrinos llegar a su casa
