The first albergue when entering Las Herrarias. The bunks are clean, so is the bathroom. Since thete are only 2 of us, we don't have to jostle to use it.
Enjoted the pilgrim menu dinner.
There are many house rules to follow.

Cute town and accommodation but they should warn guests in advance their water is brown and undrinkable. At the very least there should be a sign saying you shouldn’t use the water to brush your teeth. When brought up the bar attendant just shrugged. Only 1 shower and one toilet per gender in the dorms

Welcoming reception. Beds assigned. Very comfortable bunks with cozy blankets. Clean bathrooms.
Dinner downstairs was very good. Nothing to complain about here.
Strongly recommend you reserve and stay here before the climb to O Cebreiro.

This is a beautiful stone building, clean and well organised Albergue ( my first one!). Just arrived a few hours ago but bunk bed feels comfortable , you get a locker to put your belongings in. Food smells delicious. 8/10/24

As soon as you walked in you knew this was a lovely place to stay, all the staff were lovely and the facilities new and spotlessly clean. Dinner was good, could not fault the place, would stay here again.😊

Beautiful modern albergue in the middle of town across from a pasture. We had a private room which was modern & gorgeous with a balcony overlooking the town & pasture. Good heating, nice hot showers, nice hosts that spoke English. Great breakfast 12€ buffet. Dinner food was OK nothing to write home about, same with dessert. Would highly recommend.

This is a well thought out alberque. We had everything that we needed right there. I really enjoyed the evening meal and the breakfast buffet!

Has everything you need and good value. I didn’t eat here but spoke to a number of others who did and where happy with their meals.

Only negative was our particular dorm had zero ventilation, so despite only two out of 10 beds being occupied, it was bloody hot and stuffy.
