All Caminos App User (not verified)

In Jan of 2020 the albergue was closed. No explanation at the bar. Walked on to Roncesvalles after lunch.

Have stayed here in past(2018), decent but squeaky bunks. Had a pretty pleasant time.

The Code in on the Front door now. 15 Euro without breakfast in march 2023. The bathroom is clean, But the fridge is dirty. not very comfortable, but acceptable due to the lack of alternatives.

Small albergue that I shared with only 3 other people. Has a great little kitchen. Place no longer uses keys. Get a code from the cafe/store, keypad at door.

Camino de Sant…

You can get the code to open the door of the Albergue at the Ardandegia Restaurant, Bar and Supermarcado. The Ardandegia is on the right side of the road, as you enter the town, just before the church. They will give you a small, simple map to the Albergue. The small road to the Albergue is the first left past the church. Then walk all the way to the end and go left, down the stairs. There is a sign. We walked the entire town looking for the albergue until we met a policeman who directed us to the Ardandegia.

Camino de Sant…

Stayed the night on 15 Sept 2020. I had reserved ahead and was able to call and get the code instead of walking back up the stairs. I was the only one there (covid times and everyone else that day went the other route), but it can house I think 26. Basic facility, but in normal times you could use the kitchen. Simple and effective for a pilgrim hostel. Food and small store nearby.

Stayed here for a night, 11 others, all in one room of bunks. Kitchen is out of commission. Call the number on the front door, which is different from the numbers above, and the staff person will come over and open the hostel and get you registered. Code not available at the cafe/store as it was for pilgrims in the past
