Camino de Sant… (not verified)

We had a really long day and this location being one of the first albergues at the edge of town was a welcome sight. Very clean place, modern aesthetic with everything you need. But it was lacking personality, and as others found, quite an unfriendly host. The bunk room on main floor was only option and it had barely any ventilation, especially if you had a bunk at the far end of the room. Sun deck on top floor was about 50 degrees with no umbrella so it was unusable…on a pos note our laundry dried in a flash up there. Not too far to walk into the main restaurant area.

Clean, quiet rest stop on the way to Logronyo. Nearly empty when I was there. Check where the plugs are before you choose a bed.

The check in is good
The place is neat (floor even, careful not to slip if u bare feet with a wet outside tough)
The kitchen is perfect if you need to cook (hotplate, hotwater, and everything you need)
10 bunk bed in a large single room with a really good matress
Shower are large, efficient and hot; several place to wash your teeth and a dedicated space outside to wash ur cloth
An extra terrasse on top (surrounded by other buildings) but great if you want to catch the sun
Breakfast is served in advance (prepared the day before) with chopped industrial bread, cereals, coffee and juice - fair price and perfect to start early

Do not stay here! I booked and the room was jam packed on ground floor adjacent to the kitchen. Only a door, dark, no ventilation, toilet smelled of urine. Lady on reception was extremely rude when I asked if I could have bed upstairs with a window. She told me that was what I got. At least she gave me my money back. I went to the Municipal, which was lovely, spotless, amazing views over the fields & only 6 beds in the room.

My wife and I would stay here again. Our bunks were comfortable. Both dinner and beagles breakfast were add ons and the food was basic and tasty.

We stayed here tonight (May 25). Comfy mattress and good shower pressure.

Would not stay here again. Standard beds and bathroom but the woman working reception really ruined our stay. She was late opening the hostel and then really rude. It seemed a huge inconvenience to do laundry and then when we tried to use the kitchen (instant soup) she rushed us as they needed it to set up for the pilgrims dinner. I can understand that but she could have communicated this when we asked at checkin if we could use the kitchen. She did not crack a smile once and was overall really unfriendly. Not the usual Camino spirit we’ve had at other stays.

The girl at reception who also prepare the communal dinner, pasta ready for dinner at 3:30 and breakfast coffee was made the night before.
