Albergue de San Antón

San Antón - The Ruins

Description and Notice

The albergue is built within the ruins of the Monastery of San Antón, XIV c. It is worth a visit and a great place to rest. No phone, no lights, no wifi, no hot water... just a whole lot of juju. You do laundry in the canal, but you can get a shower if you don't mind a cold one. Simple dinner and breakfast served. Donativo. They don't accept bags sent ahead. 12 beds, first come, first served. Don't let the description turn you off, it is marvelous!

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Probably my most memorable Camino experience to date. If you can handle a cold shower with minimal water pressure and not being able to charge your phone the atmosphere of sleeping in such a unique place more than compensates. Hospitalteros were great authentic fellows.

This is truly a special place! I stayed last night and they were at full capacity with all 12 beds full. No electric, some cold water for a shower, a nice simple meal with great company, a small perfect breakfast. I loved this place!
