Nice, newer accommodation. The beds were comfortable and the pilgrim dinner was good. There were only seven of us in a ten person room so plenty of space in the bunk room and adjoining bathroom. A caveat, it advertises air conditioning but it is only in the restaurant and dining room. The bunk room was very, very warm.
A nice accommodation which leads to a fast walk to Burgos in the morning.

If you stay at Agés or Atapuerca, chances are this is the first place you can get breakfast in the morning. So, that’s 9km, give or take, with no facilities either first thing in the morning. A very welcome sight! Good coffee, HUGE zumo de naranja, and the usual sandwiches and pastries for breakfast. They have a nice garden and a roaring business. It’s well deserved as it’s a clean and friendly place to take a long break before hitting Burgos.

First cafe in Cardeñuela Rio Pico is the BEST on the Camino. The couple who run it are so friendly and efficient. Food is fabulous, cafe is clean, and everything is done with a smile.

We stayed here in august a large group of us, the hostel is perfect & clean & modern, again we ate the pilgrim meal here , the food was cooked here by a lovely lady by the name of Anna-Maria she couldn’t do enough for us.
The same couldn’t be said for the lady of the house who was a bit grumpy to be honest it was like we were a bother , not paying customers,
Still I wouldn’t let her put you off staying here as the accommodation was 👍 👍great

First cafe is excellent for breakfast. Was open 7.30am on Saturday.

Camino de Sant…

Three cafes in town, the first one you come across is good, lots on offer including vegetarian meals, lots of cold drinks and snacks. Didn’t check out the second one, the third one as you are leaving town is not great, very small selection and rude staff!
I’d stick to the first cafe! The lady who works there also offers haircuts if you need one!

Camino de Sant…

The app suggests there is a shop of some kind but there is no shop or supermarket here

Just had breakfast at the first cafe. Had a piece of what they call vegetarian pie. Quite good, as was th e smoothie. Appreciate when I can find vegetarian food. Also agree with previous comment, the woman behind the counter is very friendly .

Can confirm re: first cafe in town -- Bocateria San Miquel. Was there at 9 am on Monday and they were doing a brisk business. The food looked great (I only had a quick espresso). Restroom available.
