The Road

The camino passes quickly through the twin hamlets of As Porteliñas and As Abeleiroas on the way to the church and hamlet of Corzón.

This is the best albergue we have stayed at over the whole trip from St Jean Pied de Port. Tanya and the staff are very welcoming, friendly, smiley and are great hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are first rate and very comfortable and warm. Showers are excellent. The meal was very good and generous and just what was need after a long day of walking. This albergue is exceptional and I would highly recommend staying here.

One large sleeping room but well laid out, each bed has its own light, electric. The food here is amazing and they serve till 9pm (3 courses, drink and coffee for €12). Really friendly staff. They take card but make sure to get cash out a few stops before as most places today only took cash.

Smily and efficient welcom, food and bar service, brand new beds making no novice, all usuel services including a small basic kitchen. But mostly, nice and helpfull poeple looking for offering you the best possible stay.

From Negreiro I would recommend eating in Casa Pepe in Santa Mariño and if you have enough energy left continue walking onto this place in Lago.

This is a good place for breaking up the trip from Santiago to Finisterra as described in the text because it’s nice and new and clean. The bunks are very sturdy metal frames not those wonky creaky ones that we’re all familiar with! Bathrooms are clean and well supplied with soap paper towel and toilet paper. Noteworthy because on this particular Camino there’s been many places where everything has run out. They have facilities for laundry some basic food preparation as well as having a nice little café Next door

Tanya is the best host and the rooms, beds are clean. Great pilgrim menu, bar and laundry for a fee or hand wash with dryer racks.
