I am looking back and reflecting on my camino from last Fall. This day last year, I stayed at La Yalga. What a well loved and cared for albergue. We ate dinner and breakfast there and had a fabulous Ensalada Mixta. Loved doing our wash, having bunks with curtains and personal lights. You have to leave your pack downstairs and just take what you need with you. And you have a personal cabinet which you can lock. Best was we had a physical therapist come and 3 of us got massages. It was heaven.

La Yalga is indeed everything that the above posts describe. A wonderful place to stay

Obviously pretty new. Great scenery into the valley of a rural community. At €20 in the group beds, with free breakfast, Washing and drying facilities available. The lady at the check-in was charming. I would highly recommend this Albergue.

I can confirm that there’s a gem of an albergue here. Just 5km from Cadavedo. 20 euros. Best shower on the Camino. Everything is very nice and clean. Wonderful hospitality. Washer/dryer are 3€ each or you can hand wash and dry outside. Wi-Fi throughout the albergue. Light and plug and privacy curtains in every bed. Truly worth it. It’s called La Yalga. www.alberguelayalga.com
