The host is a lovely gentleman and an artist. The alburgue cat kept my husband company in his bed. Very good kitchen. A really lovely experience.

Nice kitchen and outdoor space, bunks are new and shower has a shelf for clothes. However, they do make you pay extra for paper sheets which is slightly frustrating considering the price.

Albergue is open for business and Gabriel was very friendly and welcoming.

There is a kitchen with a stove, kettle fridge and all the basic utensils so it's easy to cook up a meal. Plenty of resting space and a dining area. Clean showers, beds unfortunately come uncovered but they do have cosy blankets.

The wifi signal was weak, I couldn't connect to it at all.

There is a shop opposite the albergue and a really good pharmacy not far from the cathedral. Nice bakery right around the corner that opens at 6:30/7am.

Texted to see if I could get a room and they responded that they are closed

I had a great stay in this albergue. Host is very friendly and considerate to the pilgrims. Separate gender restroom/showers. Beds were comfortable, bunk bed ladders doesn't hurt your feet when climbing. There were power outlets even for the upper beds which is very considerate/nice. Place is very clean, nice kitchen, and open area in the back for laundry or socializing. There are friendly cats roaming around the first floor.

Very helpful host. Our daughter and her boyfriend were leaving us here and he allowed them to use the facilities and guided us to the train staton. Facilities good. You can hear traffic and the odd train but that didn’t stop me from getting a good night’s rest.

I stayed on Friday, 9th September. Albergue is fine but the noise from nearby nightclub is horrendous. It went on till 3.30am and it was wayyy too loud.

Enjoy clean rooms with nice ladders for top bunks that won’t hurt your feet, an owner who cares about where he places you in the room, and a women only room. Rooms have lockers and great ventilation, hard to find on the Camino. Gabriel is just lovely, and his cat Maui sat with me for over an hour as I waited. I plan to stay here on my next Camino. I recommend you eat at the San Martin hotel for dinner, the fish on the pilgrim menu is to die for!

Camino de Sant…

Wonderful albergue in an old restored mansion run by a Spanish/Dutch pelgrim couple. Very comfortable and clean, hot shower, bar across the street. Well equiped kitchen. Well recommended!
