Several companies now offer to taxi you across the river, and all take around 20 minutes. The schedule varies with the tide so you will have to call ahead or just turn up to know for certain. If you are staying the night in Camino your accommodation will very likely have the timetable posted, as well as a link to make a reservation (bikes accepted).

We booked xacobeo transfer online the night before. The collection point was marked on the quayside by a banner. It was a stormy day but the boat still ran. Skipper showed up on time and the crossing was smoothly done.

Note it was a long walk to a Guarda and it wasn’t well marked (we got lost for a while)

I used Xacotransfer yesterday. €6 and he goes straight away. He is the first you will see at the port. Great service.

There’s a small water taxi leaving from by the Hotel deal Sol in Esteiro as well, it’s great! Run by Paulo and Miguel and 6€ pp. They leave whenever they have people so I arrived with a group of about 9 people and we took two boats over. It was great because we also landed on the Litoral path by the coast but further around so it didn’t add a lot to the way.

I paid 4 euro each for a water taxi for 2 adults and 5 year old son was free of charge . Smooth and too fast . 3 mins max ride to the other side. Just know your feet will get wet arriving to the side of Spain

Taxi Mar offices sit on the coast. A very straightforward journey over to Spain.

I was able to buy a ticket and get a ride across in a very short time.

The ferry isn’t running, but almost directly in front of where you would book the ferry is a little dock just to the right. There was a fisherman there waiting for Pilgrims who called us over, and took us by boat immediately for 7 euros :)
