Now they charge 20 euros - more than almost any other albergue on the Camino. But they have nothing to show for it - standard room with 20 beds, no kitchen, not even breakfast included. Miserable dinner of three fried eggs and french fries for 12 euro. Obviously a tourist price. Laundry is expensive and the machine eats your money without return. Staff are not nice and not helpful. The only other albergue in town open now has even bigger problems - read the reviews very carefully! So probably best to skip this town altogether.

Stayed at Casa Calvar for a night in August 2023. Dirty. The sheets and towels weren't clean, there were hair and stuff all over them, checked other beds - dirty as well. Exoected better for 15€. Stayed at much nicer hostels for cheaper. Receptionist was nice but didnt speak a word in English so making a reservation and then checking in wasnt that easy.

Alberque is in the edge of the small town of Arcade right on the Camino path. staff is nice and welcoming , shared room has 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms for male and female guests. They’ll provide you with towel and sheets ( sheets were not clean) . There’s no coffee before 8am ( please have at least hot water kettle for pilgrims so we can make coffee or tea before 8am departure)

This Albergue feels a little like a half finished house as the floors are still raw concrete however the staff are really lovely, there is curtains for both bottom and top bunks complete with charging station and night light.
The cook also happily caters for vegans and vegetarians which was a refreshing change from the trouble I’ve been having to eat in Spain.

Stayed here June 2022. Nice curtained beds €10 with sheets and towel provided. Also given a locker key for a drawer under the bunk which is a nice touch. There’s a pool but it was raining all day so didn’t go in. No kitchen facilities at all but there is a cafe restaurant downstairs so you can get a drink if you want. Not particularly cheap and we had dinner elsewhere (Bar Bodegon, which was brilliant). The welcome was a bit cool but the person who eventually checked us in was nice.
