There was a male hospitaliero who seemed to be in charge.
Problem was that he didn't do anything other than strut around being important or sitting in the bar "supervising".

I stayed in the albergue on 10th May.
I had an evening meal plus a sandwich to take away for the following day plus a bottle of water.
Following day started Ok but as morning progressed I began to feel unwell.
I arrived to Puebla de Sanabrés and checked into hostel.
Soon after began vomiting and severe diarrhoea.
I remained in hostel for two days.
Unable to eat or drink.
Continued V and D.
Next day taken to hospital where I was put on a drip and given medication.
I had to abandon my camino and return home.
Nine days later I am still recovering.
I can't prove it but I know that I caught Norovirus in the albergue.
The cook was dealing with everything single-handed with hygiene suffering.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Albergue significantly extended, as noted above, kitchen with fridge, microwave and (soon) a two burner hob in what was previously the sole dormitory. Two dining tables and a sofa. There appears to be a total of 22 beds and a second bathroom.

The bar has long hours and continuous food, closing at 2200, but doesn't do breakfast. That is available at Palacio de Sanabria from 0730, according to the woman at the bar.

Albergue clean, basic and worth every penny and more of the 6€ fee.

For 6 euros it is totally perfect. It is simple, there is no kitchen but there is a bar right just next door and the town has a tineda as well.

Camino de Sant…

This is a good simple municipal, 6 beds in a room in the polideportivo. Clean. Basically no heating, but blankets. Anything you can ask for at this price (6€)
A bit out of the village but right next to it is a bar where you pay and get a simple meal. No breakfast though.
