At Tabaza the camino begins to follow along the main road into Avilés, the next 9km are along it.

Note that there is a riverside alternative that is much nicer beginning around la pedrera. It is marked but is confusing - but when the choice comes go right at the fork. The other way is charmless and continues along that road from hell.
