One bar and some picnic spots in town. Recognizable for the large bridge that crosses the river.

At the end of town, the paved road gives way to a rural farm road. It is a clear path all the way to Omnias.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Public toilet after bridge, but no paper there. Bring some yourself if needed.

Camino de Sant…

There are public toilets just as you enter porto de muge (varying cleanliness!) with a sign saying last water for 13jm, but there’s a cafe (if it’s opening hours) and a public tap in muge itself, so you can fill up there.

Camino de Sant…

with great sadness have to inform that one of the best hosts on the camino, our lovely friend paula menezes de castro passed away on feb.16,2022. she found her last rest at valada cemetery, directly on the camino.
her quinta da burra is closed.

Camino de Sant…

The subject field didn’t work properly - the name of the Paula’s farm stay is called Quinta da Burra. You can find it on google easily enough

Camino de Sant…

So glad I read the above. Welcoming Hosts and a magnificent stay. This is a find. I'm on my seventh Camino and really can't think of anyplace nicer. Paula speaks perfect English so don't hesitate to call her and make a reservation. Thank you Paula for a fabulous remembrance.

Camino de Sant…

QUINTA DA BURRA-as previous comment, a lovely place to stay. Paula welcomes you with a big smile, tea or fresh orange juice and an offer to wash your clothes. Her place is lovely as is she. Dinner was simple but good and breakfast is filling. All you need for a night on the Camino is here.

Camino de Sant…

Paula is everything ppl say and more. She is generous with her time and makes you feel at home. She has two dogs that roam freely and many street rescue dogs on site. She charges 20 euros for the stay with breakfast and her lovely dinner is pay-what-you-can. It’s rustic and peaceful. Highly recommended!

Merchanta is also worth considering for welcoming accommodation. It has a higher price than most, but has a swimming pool and is a beautiful quinta.
