Camino de Sant… (not verified)

In short: fabulous beds in 2 or 4 bed semi-private configurations. Real towels. Friendly service. Cheap commercial sized washer and dryer. Wonderful stocked kitchen, lots of spaces inside and out to rest.

It was hard to book—they didn’t respond to text messages and the phone rings to a very busy bar. Don’t let that dissuade you.

It was a perfect place to rest for our family of 4 after 14 days having started on the Norte.

Camino de Sant…

There is a little path that goes off the Camino to the back of this place, so you don’t need to walk on the road. I really enjoyed staying here, the Albergue is on the top floor of the hotel and is clean and modern with lots of space, and they even give you a towel. There is actually a jacuzzi but is closed in Covid times. The old man behind the bar is pretty curmudgeonly, but there other staff is nice. My only quibble is the quality of the pilgrims menu and breakfast buffet isn’t great (although you get a lot of food). Probably better to pay a bit more and get something off the menu.

A Spanish camino friend reserved four bunks for us here. When I arrived ahead of the others The Hospitallia told me she had never heard of him. She called me ‘crazy’ twice when I wondered if I was in the right place. After we sorted it out and I went into the bar I was charged eight Euro for a slice of tortilla de patate and a soft drink. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss
