I have stayed here 3 times. I am planning a 4th stay in June ‘24. To me, this albergue is the essence of the Camino. It is run by a religious community but they don’t push it. I am an atheist but have always felt welcomed here. If you have time the climb to the castle behind the albergue is worth the effort.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Cold water, infused with lemon and mint refreshed pilgrims during check in.
The private room includes linens and towels.
Toilet is on the 3rd floor.
Shower on the 2nd.
Pilgrims’ meal for 12€ included generous
portions of a lovely salad, lentil & pasta dish, fresh bread, vino tinto, and a choice of 2 desserts.
After dinner, pilgrims may participate in a
1/2 hour guided meditation.
For 4€, a take-away breakfast is offered. Take advantage. The first bar/café is in Los Arcos.

A friendly welcome & a delicious dinner

Camino de Sant…

Gorgeous view, delicious family dinner, shared meditation time (optional), friendly hosts. I really enjoyed my stay.

Camino de Sant…

Loved our stay here. The pilgrims meal was satisfactory and many of the pilgrims had seconds. We got locked into our room at about 10:30 which was interesting but we were able to stage an escape at 7am. A good spot to spend the night and an interesting Camino experience.

Camino de Sant…

Friendly host, modern interior with very clean facilities. If you are looking for a quiet setting, this is it.

Camino de Sant…

Check in starts at 2pm. Very friendly hosts and the best meal so far! Stayed on the top floor “penthouse” room with a balcony. Amazing views and good place to relax. Very low ceilings so watch your head!

Camino de Sant…

Fantastic time here, best meal on the trip so far with a real Camino communal meal. Devotions held that night were an extra bonus.

Camino de Sant…

The rooms have relatively few people which is nice. The communal dinner is served with the hosts which is great. The hosts all seem to be genuinely interested in chatting and all seemed lovely. The dinner was only fine, though the salad was definitely one of the better ones I’ve had so far (honestly I wouldn’t have mentioned that the meal was only fine except that one comment said it was the best of the Camino). Would certainly recommend.

Camino de Sant…

Should make a point of staying here and if you do, after you enjoy the lovingly prepared meal, join the meditation session in their humble sweet oratory. It will deepen your Camino experience.
Great albergue in all respects.
