It is a no-frills type of place, but the staff were friendly and the bedrooms (shared bunk beds) and showers were clean. There are lots of seating areas and communal areas, and they provide a kitchenette with a microwave and a fridge. They also sell drinks at reception (water, coca-cola, etc). Spacious lockers provided in each room.

There is a sink in the room which you can use to wash your clothes, and they provide a washing line outside. If you don’t want to do that, there is a laundromat right around the corner.

There was a good buzz of pilgrims chatting and eating here when I stayed. Other people may have had higher expectations or had bad experiences with the staff, but I found this place was totally acceptable.

Going through some of the comments below, I was a bit worried what to expect, but tuned out it was unnecessary. It’s situated in a very nice building with quite nice views, ideally located, with very friendly staff. Nice kitchen, but microwave and fridge available and plenty of common area. Don’t be afraid to stay here.

Not very welcoming, zero pilgrim hospitality. €20 for a bed and a shower. Ironically we arrived the day of the San Roque festival which celebrates the hospitality of Llanes towards pilgrims since the 13th century.

The Albergue is the no-frills variety. Located in a very beautiful old building, you get dorms with lockers and disposable bedding as well as clean showers but nothing else. Staff were friendly enough. €15 for a dorm bed in a room of 4. Good location on the edge of town so fairly quiet given this is quite a bustling little town (so so pretty) with a wide variety of bars and restaurants.

Giving the comments we were not expecting much but it turns out it was more than ok. Simple and basic as many others albergue on the Camino but the guys were polite and the rules are just what common sense should dict you to do (no shower at the time of other people sleeps. No water on the floor etc...). Even the laundry point was different from what was described in the comments. We were allowed to wash our clothes in the room and let it dry on the rope in the garden. The place is quiet enough too.

I turned up in January and it wasn’t open and the phone was not picked up so don’t count on it being open

Camino de Sant…

This albergue is expensive and not worth the money. They have so many rules that you feel unwelcome. Our party was split into two rooms and two women are now in a room with 4 other men who are all snoring. The bathrooms are gender mixed, and so tiny you have no space to change or put anything. For 18 euro there isn’t even soap. I haven’t slept a wink. The hospitaleros only care about their arbitrary rules and not about the pilgrims rest.

Camino de Sant…

$18 euro, but they wash clothes for you. Provide breakfast there or to go which I appreciated. Rooms had lockers. Bedrooms of 4 which was nice. Smelled a little musty.

sleeping here tonight. no dryer. as others said, many rules: you’re not allowed to wash your clothes yourself. it takes them 45 minutes to wash your clothes. then you go to a dryer/laundry shop (2 euros) to dry them. not allowed to dry your clothes in the room. mosquitoes? maybe bed bugs? not sure.
