We had a nice stay. No private rooms available so we stayed in room with bunk beds. That was fine, very clean, great showers. The door to the toilet and shower was very translucent though. We were there by ourselves, otherwise privacy would definitely be an issue. We used their laundry service for 7€, everything washed, dried, and folded in a couple of hours. That was very nice and convenient. We had a good relaxing time in the nice pool as well. But I got the sense they don’t cater to pilgrims very much, not the most friendly and welcoming staff. Food is definitely an issue. They advised us to make a reservation for the restaurant. We were not sure so we didn’t, but we ended up showing up just for a quick soup or salad. Well that didn’t go well. First we got a speech from the restaurant manager saying that reservation was not a suggestion, it’s mandatory. Then after all that he authorized us to go in. The place was totally empty, not a single table taken. That was weird. Then we asked the waitress for a soup, to which she replied that they don’t work with soups. How about a simple salad? That didn’t go well either, as apparently salads are only served as a side to a meat entree. At that point we left.

Camino de Sant…

Beautiful pastoral setting with a river running behind the accommodation. Very comfortable beds, strong shower, delicious dinner and an elaborate buffet breakfast. All for €37 (not including dinner) - great value and only 5km to Valenca.

Camino de Sant…

This beautiful place is worth a stay. We had our own room but the dorms looked great too. Fabulous restaurant- great breakfast. Pool for summer! This allowed us to saunter into Valença next day and then explore Tui before staying out of town at hotel Alfonso.

Camino de Sant…

Warning that the bar and restaurant are closed on mondays. This is understandable, but there is no where to prepare food. Beautiful place but you can’t even get a snack or drink unless you bring it with you and after carrying my groceries for 10k I’m a little sad I can’t even prepare/eat it!
