This alburgue is not first come first serve. A school on a field trip on part of the Camino booked it up.

No bed bugs but roof was leaky. Comfortable. Good kitchen. Bathroom was a bit dodgy and next to the kitchen

Both me and my friend woke up with bites from this place. Avoid.
It's also 7€ not 5€

The day I got there was not crowded so I could dominate the space for 8 people alone. I think this is not the perfect place to rest if it’s full, but for me it was a good stay, just for €7.

As I entered there was a scent in the air I’d expect in Morocco. There was also a bellydance rehearsal at the stage with Arabic music. I had a long day and this was such a wonderful welcome. The bed was fantastic the shower no worse than any other. I didn’t see any bugs at all, and I do always check around the bed, lift the mattress, etc for bugs and signs of them. Had the best sleep yet, highly recommended!

Stayed here last night (the 3rd time in the last 5 years) and it was great. There were only 3 of us in the whole place and they left the heating on all night for us, as well as providing clean and warm blankets.
It’s one of the few kitchens where you’re still allowed to use the hot plates to cook (since COVID many albergues now only provide microwaves), also has a microwave and large fridge, and lots of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils.
The beds are super comfortable with deep, firm mattresses (each has its own charging point) and have very solid wooden frames, so no creaking or shaking when people in top bunks need to go to the bathroom in the night. All mattresses and pillows have anti bedbug, sealed rubber covers.
The building is an old renovated church so full of character, with large windows high up and an enormous vaulted ceiling and decorative plasterwork. When all the dormitory lights are turned on (the switches are next to the large dining tables and benches at the entrance) there is ample light, but also with a lovely, atmospheric warm glow…no harsh, white strip-lighting here.
I’ve never seen a bedbug there, or had any problems with them (just my personal experience) but I did see little flies/bugs in the shower. It’s an old drainage system and probably needs a good purge. Showers were super hot.
Yes it’s basic, but it also costs only 6€, including disposable sheets, is right on the Camino and close to the main square, shops, banks, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets.
It’s also the only Albergue in Sahagún that stays open throughout the winter, which makes me very grateful, as I’m sure it costs them more to maintain it open, lighted and heated than they ever take in contributions from pilgrims.

Camino de Sant…

It was nice to have personal access to come in and out of the Albergue. Laundry was reasonable. I enjoyed my stay. Pro tip stay in a bed that has its back to the kitchen and in a lower bed. There was a light on all night by the bathroom bothered some, not me tho.

Camino de Sant…

This place is dark and grim. Also, we left in the middle of the night because we found some bed bugs. Would not stay here ever again.

Camino de Sant…

Check carefully for bed bugs! As soon as I laid down, I noticed them crawling around.

Camino de Sant…

Please use caution. Shower was moldy and had ants. Bed was filthy and had dirt on it. I went to another hotel. Later my friends departed due to animal feces on the beds.
