Camino de Sant… (not verified)

It was one of the hardest days of my Camino. Not because of the walk, but because of the fundamentalist conversation that was more like a lecture. The dueño can only talk about Lord Jesus and kept on trying to convince me that women should follow men, should have baby’s, that gay people are … and so on. Depressing! His wife is great and welcoming. After that I fall very hard on my face, maybe a punishment from above 🥲 Don’t go there if you aren’t a fundamental Evangelical Christian.

Highly recommended! Both Craig and Dorothy are very nice. We enjoyed our conversation though Craig can reduce the talk about Christianity a bit. The place is very clean, the decor is nice, and the meal was simple and good. I felt we were in Southern France bed and breakfast. They put fresh linen for us. In the morning we wanted to stay longer as it was cold. It was fine by them but they would like to pull the sheet so they can wash it for the next pilgrims. I was happy to know they wash after every stay. Around 9pm a biker call and wanting to sleep here. They received him in open arm and provided warm meal. It was a true pilgrim story we heard in action considering it is a donativo Alburgue. It was very nice. We would stay here again and recommend anybody.

Such a lovely place to spend the night. Craig was very welcoming and even made me dinner which was delicious. I was the only pilgrim there and it was so beautifully decorated in a very simple and clean sense. Rustic loveliness and totally quiet except for the birds.

Dorothea welcomes day visitors just as much as pilgrims for the albergue and provides you with huge fresh tasty bocadillos, coffee tea and other beverages.
Yes, Craig's talking about christianity can be a bit too much, but other than that it is such a lovely place, small, amazing scenery and the morning walk to rionegro the next day was just perfect They speak English and accept reservations, so if you want to make sure because of their limited capacity just call from Olleros.
There is nothing else in this town, so either bring some stuff and/or rely on the great dinner by Craig.
