Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Came here because I thought if it was full the next albergue is only a couple of km away. Got here at 2pm and as of 3pm I'm the only one here. I thought the front door was locked when I arrived, the handle just needs a firm twist.

Camino de Sant…

The Albergue is set out like a hospital ward, but in a positive way. Six extra wide individual single beds with white vinal covers adorn a white room with bright white fluorescent lights. It's super clean, spacious and the bathroom areas equally so. The warmest blankets in the world (also white) can be obtained from the cupboard in the room.
The shop/ mini-market down the road is well stocked and run by a lovely friendly person.

Camino de Sant…

There is a big room with 6 big beds (no bunk beds)
and very warm blankets. This is in a modern building (ground floor is a room where people come to play cards).
There is no kitchen area but there is a well-stocked supermarket and a panaderia nearby and a picnic area outside. The closest bar is ~1km away in Calzada de Tera.

Camino de Sant…

Really clean and functional albergue, you can just walk in, self register / stamp and leave a donativo. However, there is no heating and all windows and high ceiling so it can get pretty cold in autumn / spring! But lots of blankets available. If you stay there, do go have dinner at Bar Blanco in Calzada de Tera at 600 m from albergue. Really nice people, lively bar and very good Plato combinado. Also, owner will let you drink his selection of local wines, which all have lots of character!
