Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Open all year apparently means something like “open all year, except if it’s closed”. They didn’t even put a sign up. Waited for two hours… then I found something else.

The owners where nice. The room wasn’t as clean as I would have hoped, the shower was nice. They do not divide the rooms by gender. I really enjoyed the little terrace it was nice to sit there in the evening.
Unfortunately that day they did not offer dinner.
The breakfast was a hot drink of my choice, small pieces of baguette with jam and butter, a plain Joghurt and orange juice.

Very unpleasant people.

Camino de Sant…

À éviter absolument. Endroit très sale, abimé d’une façon indigne même pour des pélerin.

Camino de Sant…

I stayed here one night with my teen age daughter on a trek we hope to end in Santiago ( Finesterre and Muxia). We’ve done this path before but camped with no gîte experience, which might be important to weigh in my opinions. Our first trip we stopped for beverage here and in my opinion it is “ the place to stop”, on a street corner and I felt the energy of the sweet town. Five years ago we walked on through the town only having a beverage but this year did stay the night. The room was with two beds , just us, which was welcomed and appreciated. It met all of our needs. The doors to the stairwell of the gite and the door to our room had no key, not certain if I really cared but sharing. Simple single NOT bunk beds. I feel the place could benefit from a slight bit of renovation but it met all of our needs!!! The snack bar is the gem of the place, great patio, lots of hikers, the place to be I felt. I loved the family who own it!!! Their lovely children help work the bar and take their job seriously. A tio left for them was very appreciative. The next day the kids were selling beverages in the woods.
Showers appropriate, everything simple gîte wise, but met our needs.
