Best hostel I’ve stayed in so far.
The man who operates this place works very hard to make certain his guest or comfortable. My highest recommendation!

As others have said, the man who runs this hostel is very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

It's a good hostel - clean and in a decent condition. You are provided with bedding and a towel. Each bed has a plug socket, curtajn and a light. It's well located.

The only downside for me was that the window in my dorm opened onto the main road and it was very loud outside. It was also quite hot. However, neither of these things are the fault of the hostel!

Great host but not sure about the overnight as a solo woman. The place was clean but they took anyone, not only necessary people walking the Camino, in the middle of the night that needed a bed, so super noisy and did not feel ok.

Lovely host, always happy to help with everything. Gave us good recommendations and was very friendly - albergue had sheets, washing, lots of clean showers, and privacy curtains!

Great albergue, right next to beach and old town and close BM supermarket.
Beds with curtains and privacy, nice showers.
People who stayed in Kanpaia said it was not great (no sheets etc) so if you can the 5 euros extra is definitely worth it.
Have to reserve though as Getaria is a tourist destination.

Amazing hostel right in the center of town. Wish I had more time to spend here. Very warm welcome.

The guy who runs this place is awesome. He’s super nice, very friendly and very helpful. The place is super clean and very well maintained. It’s small but has everything that’s needed for a hostel. There’s also a washing machine and dryer. No kitchen but there’s a microwave and coffee maker. Be aware that all grocery stores close very early on Saturday and all day Sunday. If you arrive on the weekends, restaurants are pretty much your only options for food unless you buy food and carry from Zarautz. But there’s ton of restaurants here that open late. Pilgrim menu dinner is available at the restaurant/bar a couple doors down the road for €12 as of May 14, 2022.
