Stayed here last night in a private room with a shared bathroom that only 2 rooms used. It was wonderful, the room had a double bed & a single but most important there was both an air conditioner & a fan. A real treat. The bedroom even had a kettle, Bathroom was large & the bath was huge which had rails so if you’re concerned about getting out they will help you. Would stay here again.

I felt like I was being welcomed into the home of an old friend. This place is nice and the host makes this a wonderful experience. Best sleep I’ve had for weeks. Great vibe. Sit out on the patio after dinner. Very relaxing.

The host Patricia is super nice and turned a flat into a hostal! There are 10 singular beds with super comfy sheets and blankets and a breakfast included that had toast, cereal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, etc. However, it’s a little overpriced in my opinion. I would happily pay 20 euros, not 28. Patricia cooks a dinner when 4+ people sign up for it. But, it’s rice, black beans and chicken in broth…for 17 euros. One course meal with store bought dessert. It’s good, but probably costs 4-5 euros max per portion. I recommend but it’s not budget friendly. There’s also only one bathroom for ten people. It’s a very nice bathroom and shower (and there was even a weight scale if you want to weigh yourself), but difficult to share in the morning.

Take a hard pass.

Patricia is a wonderful host, and a pilgrim herself. The beds are real beds, not bunk beds, with sheets and blankets and one of the best pillows I’ve had all Camino. Patricia makes a delicious Brazilian dinner and breakfast is plentiful and included in the price of the bed. The bathroom is clean and modern and each bed also comes with a locker that you can lock. Stay here if you want a restful and welcoming night in Astorga. Patricia makes you feel at home.

Camino de Sant…

This Albergué is located in someone’s residence. There are nine beds, no bunk beds on the top floor. All nice and clean with towels and blankets provided. The fee is now 25€ and comes with bfst. The owner, a lady from Brazil lives on third floor below Albergué and the second Floor is kitchen TV Room and dining area. She also offers 12€ dinner for pilgrims she cooks herself. Excellent experience, get the dinner if you stay here. I stayed here 17 October 2020. JO from Orlando Florida
