A gern as said of the old way; however the constant reminder of donation is not nice. We generally give more than the paid Alburgue as a way to support the establishment. But i don’t like a survey of what you want to cut to keep low cost. He might as well charge a fixed price.
Somewhat intense in the sense that the hospitalero wants the albergue to remain donativo, so has signs everywhere reminding us of the importance of donating. Generally ok

..... but obviously many feel donativo means free so he has been forced to put up many signs reminding people to donate which is a little off putting.
That said, he was very kind and generous with many home made pilgrim gifts
The cup of tea waiting for us was excellent and the food very nourishing.
Probably wouldn’t suit if you are a clean freak but we enjoyed our stay there. Heating was great.
