We stayed here in early August and the line up for pilgrims waiting to get in was crazy! People had been lined up since 1:30 or earlier to get a bed, the host shows up at 3:30 and there is no system for letting people at the back of the line know whether they will get a bed. On the plus side the hosts are super friendly and make an effort to find places for pilgrims to sleep elsewhere, you just need to stand in line a long time to get it sorted out. Breakfast is terrible! Microwave some cold coffee or milk, have some bread and jam, that's it. In general the town is super busy with tourists in the summer and you may want to walk on by.
