Camino de Santi... (not verified) said:

A good choice. Run by polite caring lady.
We 2 Peregrinos booked 2 Camas and we were given 2 single beds in a 3 bed room. No one used bed 3 so we were actually in a private room, so to speak.
Bathroom was just outside our room and it was only shared with another family of 3. The rest of the others staying had a separate bathroom. The balcony was a perfect spot to sit and socialise in the evening with a glass of wine. Being a Sunday beginning of Semana Santa... it was difficult to find a tienda open but the owner had wine etc for sale

The breakfast was super. Mugs of coffee or milk if you preferred to make cola Caou. A lovely change from the previous days breakfast in Zafra. Albergue vincent Van Gogh .. limited to 1 small coffee and one small croissant.
We left Albergue el Carmen very content.
