Camino de Sant… (not verified)

This is one of my best memories of an albergue since I left Irun 3 weeks before. Mercedes is an absoluty heartwarming and kind person. The dormitory and bathroom are of a very good standard and I felt comfortable at the place right away. Mercedes has a lovely cat and dog who went into the dormitory to say hi regularly which was supernice for me. They are both top friendly and calm. She made us a lovely dinner and I was able to get a vegan meal which was a most pleasant surprise.
Can highly recommend a stay here.

Camino de Sant…

This place was the nicest place I stayed in throughout the Camino, with Mercedes (the owner) and Yelsy (the Italian neighbour) being true hospitaleros. The clean cozy space, the incredible food, the awesome advice and of course Cala, the cutest dog you've seen in your life. It's donativo responsable, but trust me when I say you'll feel like you can't repay then enough.

Camino de Sant…

October 2021, €Donativo: This was one of my favourite places to stay, and I’m so happy I walked on from Luarca to Otur to stay with Mercedes in her home/Albergue.
It feels so homely!
The dorm has real cotton bedding and duvets! She also offers towels.
She has a sweet dog and cat.
You can cook in the kitchen or the night we were there Mercedes decided to cook for us all, and we had an amazing Spanish dinner all together. And breakfast the next morning.
Mercedes is a nurse in the local hospital and her Albergue is not open every night. So call before arriving.
Before arriving at the Albergue I went to the beach near by and had a beautiful swim in the sea! Playa de Otur has some cool Caves to explore.
A kind man at a bar on the road (Bar Casa Marino) let me leave my bag behind his bar to save me carrying it to the beach and back, but definitely worth the trip if you arrive early enough.
