Several bars and small shops, as well as a BP gas station (with overpriced food-like stuff) at the start of town.

Keep on the same course along the embankment to Porto Muge.

enrico, a native italian and experienced camino goer welcomes pilgrims at his small but very charming albergue, named dois caminhoes. 4 to 6 beds only, make sure to reserve one day ahead.

Once you’re in the town centre, go up onto the rampart (there’s stairs by the cash point as well as all along) and you will see the cafe by the river - and by the tarmaced area which looks like a market place. Nice chicken salad - fresh and tasty.

Nice café, but the lady speaks just Portugese.
