These distances are exact, but are based on a straight line from point to point. Actual walking distances will be slightly longer.
Arrived at 4:30pm. No beds left and private hostel closed. The hospitaleros went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. People have commented on the German hospitalero. He was absolutely wonderful.
Basically barked at from the moment we arrived by an over zealous older German man.
Front room above main entrance is extremely noisy.
The place where they sent us for “menu peregrinio” was almost inedible.
Maybe try the municipal.
We arrived tired after our first day to be met with a very rude German sitting at the desk with his shirt off ( it’s hot ) proudly announcing that he and the whole town were full. No empathy or help, not a glass of water..... I have worked as a hospitalero and I hope I have never received a pilgrim in such a way. 2 minutes on booking.com found me a room a few km away. It’s worth noting fiestas in Guillena 2-8th sept 2018 so it’s busy.
Gracias Pilar.
Nice and clean with a lovely hospitalera. Note, the location of the albergue is off in the app. Just stay on the main rd as you come into town and it will be on your left.
This is a very, very good Albergue with an absolutely wonderful hospitalero, Peter. He walked different Caminos himself eight times. This is my fifth camino and I would say this is one of the best albergues I've been to. Marie Oliv from Sweden.
