Stayed here recently. From the moment we were allowed through the front door, the stay was cold, unwelcoming, unfriendly and clinical. If you are choosing to stay here in the hope of seeing inside the church, forget it. No effort will be made to accommodate that request. We arrived cold and wet but had received a text saying to wait under church. We were almost hypothermic. It was another guest who requested lighting the fire to warm us up. Dinner time consisted of a spoon being “tinged” on a glass and French only spoken. Dinner table was unashamedly divided and unwelcoming. Dinner was ho-hum. Place lacked warmth. I’d definitely walk on if I walked this route again. Hosts partner was just as unwelcoming and unhelpful when it came to finding out where our bags should go for pickup. He would have been ok with them left in the rain. Such a shame as the previous 35 experiences had mostly been superb
