The long boardwalk here makes for a comfortable place to have a pause. All of the bars and shops are on the east end of it.

Notice

Just prior to arriving in La Arena, you may notice old arrows directing you to your left. They occur shortly before passing under a bridge and should be ignored. Continue straight into La Arena.

The Road

The camino follows the boardwalk in La Arena, where it eventually joins a new foot bridge over the small estuary and into Pobeña.

After crossing the bridge you have the option of going across the parking lot to the town, where you will find the albergue and several restaurants.

Just after you have crossed the bridge after the beach in La Arena you will get to a car park. Here the app shiw you to turn right. It is up sone stairs.
There is a sign saying the path is closed. I took it anyway and it was really brautiful. There was no rocks on the path and everything was fine. There was also other people. Very nice.

If you follow the instructions to take the right turn at the car park you will find the route is shut
Having viewed a comment from another pilgrim I took the risk and squeezed between the barrier.
Totally agree, the route remains very safe. The is one rockfall which is very passable and should not be any cause for concern.
The route is beautiful.

Beautiful beach with good longboarding waves. Many restaurant’s for such a small place. Supermarket in town. Short walk to Pobeña
