Camino de Sant… (not verified)

The owner/hospitalero died recently and the albergue is closed.

Camino de Sant…

We arrived without reservations and got a private room. Owners are not English speaking, but we managed with my poor Spanish and their minimal English. WiFi is flaky, didn’t work for us outside the area of the bar/café. Pilgrim meal was okay, not great. Private room was nice.

Camino de Sant…

Kind owner but mediocre food. No real heat in the rooms. Cold! Room cleanliness was 6.5/10. Good water pressure and hot water in the showers.

Camino de Sant…

Bad food, bad beds, and I got ravaged by bedbugs.

Camino de Sant…

Avoid if at all possible. The rooms were absolutely freezing as we had sleet yesterday. However, the owner refused to put the heat on in the rooms and only did so at his convenience at 7 and it was turned off by 11pm.

Camino de Sant…

Hiking the Camino in December can be difficult. Many places are closed included grocery stores and bars. Some days you think you’ll make it farther than you actually can. I called this place last minute, the owner was friendly and helpful. I splurged for a private room and had a nice hot meal— I’d mostly been surviving on toast and whatever any open bar had up to this point. I had NO trouble with bed bugs. The owner and his wife are very friendly and helpful.

Camino de Sant…

Don’t understand the negative comments, the room was exceptionally clean and came with a blanket for warmth. Also lots of Sun shine to dry those clothes.
