Crossing the Rio Cávado from Fão to Esposende is done via bridge, take your time as the pedestrian section of the bridge is quite narrow. At the end of the bridge turn left, and at the next roundabout keep to your left into Esposende.

I highly recommend Villa dos Corcéis for your stay in Fão. Cristina and her husband are lovely people and their little hotel is just a dream! Everything is very clean and nicely furnished and they even have a pool!
I highly recommend “The Spot Hostel Ofir” in Fão. It’s a beautiful small hostel with the best host ever. (Sandra speaks good English and will help you with all kind of questions.) The hostel provides bedding, towels, washing sinks and even got a swimming pool. 15€/night including breakfast.
